In Queen Creek there is the Desert Mountain Park, Founders’ Park, Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Center, and the San Tan Mountain Regional Park. Cultural attractions include Schnepf Farms, The Queen Creek Performing Arts Center, Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Centre, and the Queen Creek Olive Mill.
There are also many trials available for biking and walking. The Queen Creek Wash Trial and the New Sonoqui Wash Trail are both beautiful places to visit and get your exercise.
There are also a few special events for the family meant to bring the community together like the Valentine’s Day Love Bug Dance, Passport to Discovery, Trunk or Treat, Schnepf Farms Peach Festival, The American Heritage Festival, and the Roots N’ Boots Weekend.
Historical landmarks can be educational and show the culture of an area. Around Queen Creek is the Old Rittenhouse Elementary School, Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Queen Creek Town Hall, the Desert Wells Stage Stop Marker, the ruins of the Desert Wells Stage Stop, a Community Church, the HIgley General Store, and the Arizona Boys Ranch.
The Old Rittenhouse Elementary School now is the home of the San Tan Historical Society. The Queen Creek Town Hall was once a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Arizona Boys Ranch is now called the Canyon State Academy.
All these historical landmarks have a lot of history behind them and a large amount of information to gain from visiting.
The children of Queen Creek attend schools in the Queen Creek Unified School District, which has received an A from the Arizona Department of Education. They provide quality education at their seven available schools in the area. Elementary Schools include Desert Mountain Elementary, Frances-Brandon Picket Elementary, Jack Barnes Elementary, and Queen Creek Elementary Schools.
Middle Schools include Newell Barney Junior High and Queen Creek Middle School. Queen Creek High School is the only available High School in the area. The American Leadership Academy also has a middle school and high school available in the Local Charter School District.
The Queen Creek Library is available for students and adults of all ages as well.
Queen Creek is a lovely smaller town that would be a great place to raise a family.
